FEAL led by dynamic duo Chef Niven Patel and Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar is a group rooted in humble hospitality and ingredient forward concepts. The name itself, derived from fealty which signifies “loyalty”, is a means to remind us to stay true to the core values that got us this far. FEAL is the mother company to nationally recognized, award-winning restaurants in South Florida. We began with south Miami’s beloved Ghee, an Indian restaurant which boasts two Michelin Bib Gourmand awards. The crown jewel of the group is Erba, an upscale Italian restaurant that garnered a place on Esquire Magazine’s coveted “Best New Restaurants in America” upon its debut in 2023. The latest addition to the lineup is NiMo, a coastal Mediterranean concept in Jupiter, Florida that boasts a beautiful open air terrace and wood oven.
Chef Niven, a 4-time James Beard Award semi-finalist for “Best Chef: South” who was also named Best New Chef 2020 by Food & Wine, is deeply entrenched in the farming community. His home, Rancho Patel, a 2-acre farm in Homestead, Florida is the source of inspiration for all FEAL Hospitality concepts. This gives him the unique ability to grow ingredients specifically for his menus and tailor his offerings seasonally with the local ingredients found in his backyard. Mo is a 2023 James Beard Award semi-finalist for “Outstanding Restaurateur” with international experience spanning across Europe and the Middle East where he managed over 30 restaurants simultaneously. His keen eye for identifying talent coupled with a deeply rooted belief in mentorship as a core component to success has fostered a culture that allows our team to prosper and enriches the communities in which we serve. The duo met in 2016 having crossed paths at an F&B establishment in Miami and immediately hit it off; it was a match made in heaven. As their friendship, respect, and admiration for one another grew, they formally partnered up in 2018 and brought to life all that FEAL has to offer; humble hospitality, fresh local ingredients, and bold flavors.

FEAL Restaurant Group, a partnership with Nolan Reynolds International, marries culinary innovation and operational excellence led by Chef Niven Patel and Mohamed Alkassar. Having seen tremendous success launching Mamey at THesis Hotel, they set out to create a vision for many years to come. FEAL emphasizes the importance of putting an equal amount of effort in ensuring we enhance the lives of our patrons, the communities in which we serve, local farmers, and our team.
Chef Niven is the embodiment of the farm to table movement. Residing on his farm, Rancho Patel, Chef Niven delivers his produce to the restaurants and curates a menu that compliments his hand-picked ingredients. FEAL focuses on sourcing from local farms and building personal relationships with the farmers and purveyors gaining access to limited seasonal ingredients. With 4 restaurant concepts, including the nationally acclaimed, Ghee Indian Kitchen, FEAL has become a well-respected restaurant group in South Florida.
